I got an AC15 recently since I couldn't afford the AC30 and I'm thinking about modding it.

The Celestion Blue Speaker upgrade def. gives it that bell-like sparkle.
Now I'm thinking about replacing its tubes but not sure which ones Edge uses.

There's a good post here about sending it to a tech for an upgrade.
But anyone know what other mods I should do to the
amp to make it sound more "Edge" like?

AC15 upgrades.

I got my AC15CC1 from Mick, of Unforgettable Fire. If you've seen any of Mick's clips on YouTube, the guy gets great tone from anything he plays.

That said, I asked him about the mods that were made to the AC15CC1 that I bought from him.

THIS (below) was his answer. Hopefully it will help.

Its a Weber blue in there.

I did the high cap mod which is simply take out 2 caps. I forgot which ones I think R6 and R7?

I changed the tubes. I can't remember for certain but I think I put JJ tubes.

You, sir, are amazing - thank you for finding that out! I have seen his clips, I totally did not realize that was an AC15CC1.

I found this from another forum, maybe it was Gearslutz:

Here is what I have done and it sounds awesome now:
JJ El84's- adds a lot of chime to the sound, great sounding tubes that last
Tungsol 12ax7's- balance the chime with some creamy warmth, to my ears makes tone controls more interactive which with Vox amps is a good thing.

I've read Edge uses Jensen speakers, but I just can't find Jensen speakers anywhere for the life of me.

Mick has a lot of amps. So I am not saying that all his are with the amp I now own.

But there are probably some there that were recorded with my amp.

He has Jensen's in some of the Fender amps. I think only one Vox has Jensen; not the main one.
