That 'Stay' chorus guitar tone
Ok, so it's a totally minor element - but it's been driving me crazy trying to match the tone in the chorus of Stay (the Zooropa album version)...
__________________It's the sort of swanky solo bit in behind the chorus.... very fuzzed out... but there's a hint of wah or envelope filter or something on there??? I tried my arsenal of pedals but no dice - and even the amp sims aren't helping... Anyone? It's a subtle tone - but there's something quite awesome about it. |

Seriously? 82 views and no replies? Nobody has any clue on that swanky fuzz tone... it makes an appearance in 'Some Days' as well during the solo (at least similar)...

The Stay chorus I have no idea about. If I had to throw a guess out there regarding the Some Days solo, I don't know, it sort of sounds like a Fuzz Face pedal to me.

Maybe Edge also used that bizarre guitar with the serrated fretboard.
