I am looking for the tab for the song "Stay Far Away So Close", not the commercial tab that is out there but the version from the Live in Boston DVD. Even if someone could transcribe some of it for me, that would be appareciated.

I copied this over from Olga, I play it slightly different but this is pretty close, I don't skip over the A string on the into/verse for example. Play with it a bit, that E/C# is tricky.

U2 – Stay (Faraway, So Close!)
As Performed Live Acoustically on the Elevation Tour from Boston

Transcribed by Eden Kung (KefkaTheMad@Yahoo.com)

This is the acoustic version of Stay (Faraway, So Close!) that U2 played on
their Elevation tour DVD. It’s drastically different from the original and
sounds better in my humble opinion.

Tune down a half step

It's a good tab but try playing this way too: In Fig. 1, while holding the E chord shape, hit the A string (2nd fret) and play the rest as tabbed. In Fig. 2, instead of skipping over the A and the D string, just skip over the A string (chord shape is 2,x,2,2,0,0).

I've played it both ways and they both sound good but I thing the above modifications make it sound better, to my ears anyway.

I played Stay last night acoustic live in the solo acoustic portion of my band's show. We also did With Or Without You with the whole band. With Or Without You, of course, dropped a step and a half....
