I'll start with my estimation of the riff:

D --------4-----4-----------2---------4--4--2---------------
A ------------------2--4(h)---------------------4--2--0-----
E --2--2-----2------------------2--2---------------------4--

Discuss.

My version of the riff goes more like this:

d----------4------4---------2h4---------4p2--4--2------------2h4--
a---------------------2h4--------------------------------2-2h4---------
E--2--2------2--------------------2--2----------------------------------

Any ideas about the chords, chorus riff and/or solo?

That's what I would have posted

Yeah, I don't know what the fuck happened with the end of my riff. I should not tab on three hours of sleep.

Just a quick version, this probably isn't exact but it's close

D A
Fall Down
A B5
Stand Up
F#
For Your Love

that D-A-A-B
is the change in the verse as well

Ooooh-out from under*
Amaj-B5-C#min?
into
Come all ye people*
B5-A#maj-Amaj
into F# riff

Bridge (something like this)
B5-Gmaj-Amaj X2
4-2-2 beats

B5-Amaj-G#-G (I think these last two are major)
4 beats each

Soul rockin people*-same as above

ETA*
He sounds like he's playing the low 3 strings on the B's , so that's why I am using B5 (7-9-9) although that could be a B major, I don't think it's a minor. I honestly didn't spend a lot of time on this, my least favorite song on the album.

Hi U2DMfan,
can you please post the full lyrics whith chords above?
Thanks a lot.

bass

I know you're probably all only looking for guitar chords/tabs, but at least just to know/have/check out, the bass tab for this song has been completed, sounds awesome, and is available. In the best case, it'll help you get a better picture of the whole song. (and yes, the intro parts are not dual parts guitar and bass, they're a little different).

It can be found here: Stand Up Comedy bass tab by U2

or on ultimate-guitar.com.

Enjoy!
