Hello, I am new in forum, my name is Daniel and I'm from Portugal.
After being surprised by the sound of Boss FA-1 that I cloned, I decided build another key part of the sound of The Edge, SDD3000 pre.

You can ear the samples of the FA-1 here:
https://sites.google.com/site/swampelectronics/projectos-realizados/boss-fa-1

I searched the internet and found several things:
This blog gave me good information about AF-1, the boy is to be congratulated, the level of construction it is very high.
SDD-3000 Preamp Clone ? Trabantland

MATRIXSYNTH: Korg SDD-3000 Service Manual
thank you matrixsynth! Sweet!

A version designed by Analogguru pedal, thanks analoguru and frestompboxes.org!

I will make this 9v version this week, but I want more! I want to:
- The two attenuators
- 15V power supply as in sdd3000
- Completely understand the circuit and probably find out what goes in there:

Psionic Audio - Triad preamp mixer & boost pedal for guitar - Overview

I put the switches in a box so you can experience the circuit.
It works! at +9 V only.

We get a incredible variety of sounds, but the strange thing is the position-30db volume from 12 hours on the volume pot, I get have an overdrive sound.

Continues after.

thanks!

Hi!

After somo weeks thinking the best options I decided! :)

The objective was make a new Sdd3000 preamp in stompbox, with the most important options.

220V/110V AC IN
Like in Carl Martin Plexi and Ac-tone for better power, the charge pump add some problems reability and noise. And you dont have to buy another power suplly!

FX loop
The delay inside the SDD3000 isn´t before or after the preamp...is inside.

Passive /Active Fx loop
The active fx loop use a real good circuit that runs in +15 0 -15V like the preamp. without any fx on the fx loop, the the circuit act like a booster.

Series/parallel Fx loop
One more option...easy mod...why not?

Fx loop ON/OFF Footswitch
To ON & OFF the delay on the fx loop

True Bypass footswitch

2º attenuator change (BOOST)

A - Attenuator (no switch but a Pottenciometer - same shit, more versatility)
B - Direct (no attenuation)

I can´t call it a booster because is the inverse..I will call it SOLO maybe.

Here´s the project:

Finishing of the first pedal will be in etching.

No man!

I´am posting because this forum have a lot of this kind of effect users.
I some opinions could help me to make a better pedal.

I have the clone that Trabantland built. Great pedal.

The Triads are good and do a bit more than the Trabantland SDD-3K but have not always been easy to get one delivered in a timely fashion.

I did hear that Vox is supposed to be making an SDD-3K pedal clone. That could be interesting.

If you've built one, post youtube clips. A clip showing what it does / sounds like will help show the value of your pedal.

@swampfx:
Would be great if you'd post the pcb layout and the schematic of your version!
Have you added a parallel/series option to the fx loop?

Repairing a Korg Sdd3000 to compare with the preamp clone

Change all electrolitic capacitors, now it´s have sound but the power supply is too instable.

Need to make a new Power Board
