I've recently got into playing a lot of AC/DC style riffs, with a heavy bass sound. I was wondering about the best settings to do this... when I play plugged into my practice amp, I put it on Lead Distortion (usually Metal or Metal Stack) and I think it sounds great (well, at least truer to the actual version). But, when I play it for people they find it to be incomprehensible... so my question is, what's the best type of amp settings to play hard rock style riffs with? I've played around with it quite a bit, but I've been told it is too distorted... is there a way to avoid this, but still get the same effect of a heavy lead rock riff?
