I noticed that on the Milan dvd, during All I Want Is You, Larry uses red striped drumsticks, and now I"m watching the Hands that Built America video, he uses them there too...
are these some special kind of drumsticks that give a different sound than his regular ones?

if this helps

Throughout his career Mullen has been plagued with a battle with tendonitis, which has been curbed by specially-designed drumsticks from Pro-Mark. He also performs with special Yamaha drums and Paiste cymbals.

yes I knew that, but if those red striped ones are the special ones, why doesn't he use them the whole concert.... it's just the switch of sticks that confuses me...

the red striped ones r called hot rods or sommat (maybe a drummer knows?) they do give a different sound to regular sticks.

his regualr pro-mark sticks have a small black band at the middle and are lighter i tihnk
