Just now seeing this. Thanks for the help! I'll probably dive in on a more expensive pedal/more versatile pedal. I have a EHX #1 Echo and it's a great basic delay but I want something with just a little more features. Also what I forgot to ask is how the VM Empress handles OD/Distortion? The #1 Echo can handle some but if you have too much gain it just doesn't agree with it. I believe the Time Factor can handle gain relatively well from what I've heard. I'll be looking at one of those VM Empress Superdelays now!:D

Well at my last practice I ran an OD with boost on AND a fuzz at the same time thru the VMSD and it sounded great to my ears. I don't think the Vox AC30C has an effects loop, but if it does, you should put all your time-based effects there if you can (delay, reverb, chorus, rotary, tremolo, etc.). Unless you run the amp super, super clean.

That's really good to hear. I believe the AC30 does have an effects loop but since it's the first amp I've owned with an effects loop I'm not so sure how to run my effects that way. It's probably really easy but I'm new to it. Also I'm running my Wah, Whammy, OD/Dist before my L6 M13 and time based effects after the M13. So what I'm asking is do I have to/can I have the M13 run through it too?

Do you only use time-based effects thru the M13? That's the real question. You wouldn't want to run OD/Comp/Fuzz, etc. in the effect loop. If your effects loop has a send/return, you run a cable from the send into the input of your chain of pedals that are in your loop and the return from the output of the last in your chain. I have an effect loop on my Matchless but I haven't used it yet because it's a different sort of loop than I've ever used before. There is just one jack and I have to get a TRS cable with a send/return split. I'll eventually do that, and I'm sure my delay will sound much better when I do, but it still sounds good in front of the amp.

I use OD and Distortions with the M13 along with other time based effects. So that rules it out then I guess. But I can still run my echo and tremolo through the effects loop then. I'll try those through the loop since I've read that the time effects sound so much better than just in front of the amp.

My rig, again!!

Sorry, but I do not know what happen, I never could to put pictures in forums:angry:
Well, this is my rig. The amp is a AC30 CC2 upgraded with Celestion Alnico in the amp cabinet and new TAD tubes in it, and the extension cabinet with 2 greenbacks. I know that is strange to put a extension cab in a AC30 but I read everywhere that the best options for this amp is Blue or green..and why not both? jjeje I think is the same if I have a 4-12 cabinet and the 30w head, isn it?..
The result is a bodied, warm and rock sound... I will mod the amp changing capacitors and choke soon..

I sold all my pedals and I bought the M13 stompbox...
The pedal board includes my lovely M13, the dreaming distortion Tonebone Radial Classic (in the loop), and "the overdrive" Screamer (in the loop). A expression pedal for the M13.. the screamer of the M13 is really great but Im in love with the green one..
The photo is taken in the place where we reharse and at home I?ve got a Blues Junior that sounds pretty good with these pedals..

My Gibson Les Paul GT Traditional... i think is a very cheap option if you want a real LP... with 57's picks. If you browse the photos on flickr you'll se the "broken-neck tragedy"... a few months ago... I also own an american Fender Stratocaster

I think that is not expensive to get a similar the edge tone...
My next adquisition will be a preamp pedal, maybe FA-1, DTS 3k, or..the triad?
These are the pics and a couple of U2 covers demos (in myspace).

Well, that's all folks.

FA_1's are priced ridiculously on ebay. But there are some who make clones. If you go to U2 Recording yahoo group, they can tell you those that make them. The guy that makes the DTS 3K makes FA-1 clones too.

Triad? Great pre-amp. Pain in the arse to get ahold of. The manufacturer has been slow on delivering goods in the past. Huge Rack and other forums have many threads about this.

But in the meantime I use the boost of the M13
one day I will learn how to build pedals...:hmm:

NEW EDGE GEAR:

I've heard that Dallas recently bought Edge an EMMA Discumbobulator. They are no longer made but can be found on ebay from time to time.

emma_Discombobulator.jpg

MINE arrived on Friday.

It is the only pedal that seems to get close to a Mysterious Ways sound. Although, not quite as good as the Korg A3 does it. It does a pretty good "Please" sound.

DUNLOP/CAE Boost Overdrive. Edge has had one on his studio pedalboard. There was a pic ove that pedalboard from November 2009 that Edge tweeted.

468766.jpg

MINE is in transit. They list for $135. I found mine for $100.00

Edge has used the Electrix Filter Factory for "Elevation" since it was recorded. The sold for $400 new in 2000. They were made from 1999-2001.

I found one on ebay that a guy bought in 2000, used briefly... moved and some things were put in storage... forgot that he had it... found it recently and put on ebay. All working condition and about as "new" as it can get. Price? $230 :M MINE should be here in the next week.

It does a nifty good "shimmer" that, Strymon Blue Sky. Might be better than the Line 6 Verbzilla in that respect.

Having played them both, the Strymon Blue Sky does a ridiculously better shimmer than the Verbzilla. But I won't be using it for its shimmer for the most part.

Really neat rig breathe! I must ask, how is the Casino? I've played a few before but it's been a good while. I've wanted one for a while now but I always end up having a fight over what guitar I want.

Dude thats sooo funny thats the same thing that would happen to me  i put of buying a casino for 2 years but i am a beatle fanatic so i had to get one! I think they sound really great i would recommend it!

Hah I've been putting it off for a good, long time. My next guitar will definitely be either a semi-hollow body or a hollow body guitar. I've wanted a Gretsch but probably most likely a Casino as I just love the size of them.

Speaking of next guitars, I think down the road when I've saved a bit of money up (like in a few years, since my pedal board is at least a grand away from completion), I'm going to get a Rickenbacker. Hopefulling a 12-string. 330 or 360.

ya i really want a Gretsch to man. But the casino is great, I really hope they re-issue the 1962 modals like Edge's

The Edge's are 1963 and 1968. Both have had some things changed, so they are not stock.

He does have a 2009 6122-1962 reissue. I've not seen him use it much. But you could get one of those.

Nice guitars and close enough to what The Edge is using.

And if you change the pickups out to TV Jones 'TV Classics', it will sound more like a vintage Country Gent.

Is that a Vox Pathfinder up the top? I just got one today!

Also how do you like the Explorer? You only got it this week right? Really considering grabbing one

Great rig though breathe!
