^ They will do that, those bastards. I'm just hoping some of the cheap pedals I bought in the 90s will suddenly become the rage and I can unload them on ebay....wait, then I'll be one of those bastards.:D

I've been bidding on the verbzilla and the POG lately. I'm hoping to get both for around $275 (total) used. But stupid last second bidders....

More on the POG 2

POG2

Polyphonic Octave Generator

Back in 2005, Electro-Harmonix unveiled the original POG, a polyphonic octave generator that enabled guitarists to conjure everything from the surreal jangle of an 18-string guitar, to rich, thick walls of symphonic sound.
The POG2 will take you even higher. Use the new attack control to fade in lush, smooth swells. Tune in the new second sub-octave to reach deeper than ever before. The 2-pole resonant low-pass filter now includes two additional Q modes. Slide in the newly enhanced detune to further refine your sound.

The POG2 delivers unrivaled tonal variations -- and now you can save your favorite settings, and recall them with a click. The POG2 just plain sounds better, thanks to an enhanced algorithm that delivers a more focused and in-the-pocket harmonic performance. And all this is now packed into our rugged and pedalboard-friendly diecast chassis.

Is the AC15CC your shimmer/effects amp? That's awesome if that's the case. A friend of mine has an AC30TB for his main amp (which I have, too) and an AC30CC2X for his effects. Lucky guy.

Just got my Verbzilla and POG. I've got a volume pedal on the way and then I'm gonna rebuild my pedal board(s). Pics soon.... (hopefully!)

That's a lot of really cool gear. One thing I noticed on your list is the Squier Duo Sonic. I've wanted to play one of those since I first heard of them but haven't gotten a chance. What does it sound/play like?

The Duo Sonic, to me, physically feels like a super-light Strat, which is not surprising. Playing it feels quite a bit different than any other Fender I've played though, because the scale is so much shorter, so the strings aren't as tight. It's probably the least noisy single-coil guitar I've ever played, I think because it's shielded very well.

As far as the sound goes, the neck pickup is somewhat Strat-like, while the bridge alone sounds more like a Telecaster bridge pickup than a Strat bridge. It has more body to it than a Strat bridge.

It's certainly very different than most of my other guitars, and is by far the lightest and smallest. I'm not a big fan of the super-glossy neck, but I deal with it.

Sort of. I mean, it doesn't get that oddball Strat position 2 and 4 sounds, but it is sort of a mix of the Strat neck and the Tele bridge. Feelwise though, it's not really similar to either one as far as the neck and string tension goes.

How do the Weber Blues sound? I'm seriously thinking about swapping out my Greenbacks in my TB.

A cheaper alternative to the Celestion Blue but sounds just as lovely. I bought my AC15 from Mick (The Unforgettable Fire - NY tribute). He'd done the mod form the greenbacks to the Alnico Blue.

Be sure to get the ALNICO BLUE NOT the Ceramic.

I have my birthday coming up and I'm wanting to know if I should use my money ($200.00) and get a multi effects unit or save for an AC15? This probably quite fairly obvious as to where to go. And I know it's totally my decision but I was just wondering on what your opinion(s) are?
