Post your rigs!

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
It has been years and hours of scouring the net and classifieds on craigslist, harmony-central, ebay, and web searches to find some of that stuff. Others I stumbled upon by luck. It is an obsession, maybe unhealthy, but it is fun.

I got the Sobbat Drivebreaker from an classified ad on harmony-central. I think they are still sold on musictoyz.com.

I found the FA-1 on a website for a store in Australia and had it shipped to the U.S.

The TC Dual Parametric Equalizer was found in my local music store that has nothing but some Squire guitars. I made my weekly trip there to check out the used pedal shelf (usually just 2 or 3 pedals there) and found it for $99. The guy working there told me it was a bass pedal. I knew better.

Guitar: Maroon Gibson SG (1993)
Pedals: Boss TU-2 tuner, Line 6 DL4 delay
Amp: Rivera M100 1/12 (100 watt, two channel tube, Fender clean and Marshall distortion)
Cab: Rivera 4/10

I'm sure no one's ever heard of Rivera, but believe me, it's top of the line.

The RP-200A is identical to the RP-200, only that it has artist presets.

It's not a completely bad pedal in terms of what you get for it (heh, I only really bought it for the whammy), but there's a lot left to be desired with the sound quality.

BTW, if you're interested, I've got some patches for U2 songs at my site. :) http://www.flickerandfade.org/?faf=effects

They're not 100% accurate, but you'll get a bit of an Edgy sound at least.

hey gibsongirl, do you have any other u2 patches or is that it?

hey mk, what are the best patches you have found?

i kind of gave up on my rp-200 but if i can find some good sounds i may give it another go

Do you hang the confetti from the ceiling in a plastic bag then rip it to drop on you and your buddies when you are going into one of you cover songs? Or do you make your little brother throw it up in the air? :D

Very nice, all. I've got:

Godin SD Electric Guitar (top notch for the price, love the bridge HB, the only thing I don't like a lot is the neck)

Norman B-20 Acoustic Guitar (excellent, all around. bright yet warm)

Fender Frontman 25R (nice clean channel, the dirty channel sucks though)

Line 6 Guitarport (excellent, though playing guitar at the computer is a tad bit annoying).

Kinda interested in looking about a pedalboard, I have a student loan coming through in a few months and it has to go somewhere!! ;)

I heard that Pedaltrain's are good, and maybe a Voodoo Lab Pedal Power 2 Plus or DC Brick for a supply, anyone have any experiences with these?

The occasional gear deals are still out there. I found an SDD3000 at a guitar place in New Orleans, stashed in a rack in back.

Price: $150.

They had an SPX90, too, but they wouldn't sell it.

I unloaded the SDD a few months later for $400 or so when I decided I didn't need to be an Edge clone. Wish I still had it, but I've become a fan of the Roland SDE series, and just picked up a 2500 (midi controllable) to replace my SDE1000.

Miss that SDD3000, though. They're fetching insane prices on Ebay these days.

Maybe you should build one yourself? You can save up to 50% that way and build it as big or as large as you need it.

I haven't posted in a while. I have an old cambridge reverb-the first solid state amp, the bulldog speaker in it was great, but I put a Jensen in which handles distortion a little better-plus there are not many 4 ohm speakers that was the best. It has an out for an extension cab, I was thinking about building one with a nice bluedog or something which will cut down on the wattage I think since it will not be 4 ohm, what I wish to know is, will it be a clearer sound where I can plug it in, play some nice lighter clean stuff by splitting it with the Jensen? is it worth it at all? or will it be a total waste?
