I don't know if this is the right forum but this is probably the closest. I've recorded myself singing Stay (Faraway, So Close!) and thought I'd throw it out here just to get some honest opinions! Unfortunately I don't play the guitar so there is no accompaniment in this recording but you can just faintly hear the album track in the background. There is no other U2 song I enjoy singing more, than this one. That's why I really want to see what you guys think. Please be honest, I won't feel bad. Thanks.

PS: Sorry if the file takes forever to download. It's a wav file. And I have no idea how to convert it to another format. :der:

Okay, sorry about that! I've finally learned how to convert these damn wav files!

Here's a new link. This is an aac format file.. only 4 MB! Much faster to download!

I'd appreciate it if the mods could remove the link from the previous post. Thanks.

Hey Zootlesque,

I liked your track a lot and I thought it would be cool to add guitar & backing vocals.

This is my first international collaboration! It's far from perfect, but I think it sounds pretty nice.

I had to transpose your voice up 1 semitone. I also added some reverb.

Oh my God! That sounds great! You play really well and I love your backing vocals! Thanks for doing this!!!

I can play most U2 songs. If I can't play it yet, I'll learn it!

Here's a version of Streets that I made (I only did the guitar parts) along with a backing track. It's probably my best guitar work. I'd love to hear vocals added to that!

I used to be in high school, but it was really just for fun. I've been pretty busy with school for the past few years, so I never really thought about it.
