I was thinking about buying a new music software program and was wondering if anyone knew what the band used for their work.

Especially any programs that they used for their live 'background electronic' sounds on their recent tour on songs like One, Streets, etc.

Was it one of Brian Eno's private programmes, or did they use one that anyone can get for commercial use?

If no one knows any details, which music programmes would you reccommend instead?

Live, most tribute bands I know use an iPod or laptop to play the tracks.

As for recording or making backing tracks, a few of the tribute Edge's I've met use Reason.

The band is running things off of a sequencer. Those recordings are probably made, like the albums, on the Otari Radar hard disc recorder.

Thanks man, nice detail.
I'm just interested in home recording right now, so I'll check out Reason.

Cheers :D

If your talking in terms of home recording. Pro Tools would be the big one. Reason can only handle MIDI formats, so its good for recording things like Streets & COBL Intros.
For instruments i'd be inclined to use Pro Tools. But its costs alot, to use it at it's full potential you need a BIG budget!
