For anyone who's interested, I tabbed out the Elevation tour live version of "In a Little While". After analysing the Boston DVD, I'm sure that this is as close to perfect as a tab for any song could get. As most people know, Edge re-works the song for one guitar for the tour version (most notably changing the riff). Anyway, here it is:
Riff:
e----------------------------------------------------3----------------------------
B---------5------------6------------8-----------------3------------7-----8-7--
G-----------6------------5------------8-----3s4--------4-----------7---7-7--
D--5s7-------7--7s8-----8--8s9------9-------------------5s7------7--------
A----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
E----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The riff ends with bar chords on the fifth fret: A-D-A
Keep playing that riff until the lyrics change to the first "Oh-oooh-oh-oooohhh part". Then strum the bar chords Bm-G-D-A as follows (for the strumming pattern, watch the DVD or listen to a recording from the Elevation tour):
e--7---3-3-3---3-3-5---3-----------------------------------
B--7---3-3-3---5-6-5---3-----------------------
G--7---4-5-4---5-5-5---4-----------------
D--9---5-5-5---5-5-5---5------------------------------------------------
A--9---5-5-5---3-3-3---5------------------------------------------------
E--7---3-3-3-------------3-----------------------------------------------
For the second verse, go back to the riff. Then go back to the chords for the second "ooohh-ooh-ooohh" bit. Then, the chords change slightly for the next part:
Bm G
A man dreams one day to fly
A D
A man takes a rocket ship
A D
Into the sky.
Bm G
He lives on a star that's dying in the night
A D
And follows on the trail
A D
The scatter of light.
Then it's briefly back to the riff again for the "you turn me on" part. And then back again for the main chords for more "ooh"-ing. Then it's finally back to the modified chords for the ending:
Bm G
Slow down my beating heart,
A D A D
Slowly love, slowly love.
Bm G
Slow down my beating heart,
A D A D
Slowly love, slowly love.
Enjoy! Hopefully someone will get fun out of playing the live version of this great track!
