Hey Vox AD50vt

Hey im thinkin about buying a Vox AD50VT or 100 VT soon, and does anyone know if you can get a good Edge sound out of it. and how good of amp is it.. i heard there really good. anyone know anything bout them. let me know

I own a ad50vt and i think its a really great amp. You can get a lot of different sounds from it, as it has 11 amp models and a lot of effects. Using my fender stratocaster i can get a very good Edge sound out of it. So imo its well worth the money, especially since it is a relatively cheap amp.

I have the AD30VT, and yes, I also get a great Edge sound out of it. (Just out of curiousity, has anyone replaced his speaker in the AD30VT, and if so, with what? )

Hey there,

I swapped out the stock speaker in my AD30VT with a Celestion Vintage G10. Was a major improvement in my opinion. Seems to tighten the higher notes, sounds great on the AC30 sim. Speaking of mods, i also upgraded my preamp tube with a NOS Mullard and changed the metal grill to the black Vox cloth similar to the 60's vox. check out some pics of the mods:

Hey, I own a Vox AD50VT, it really sounds good, but you`ll find it lacks identity, and wont work out for solos or that kinda stuff, the combination of effects its nice but you would never get the right settings for U2 songs, its worth the money, but if i were you, i would try to get a Vox AC30 reissue or getting a Line6 POD XT LIVE and play in direct mode, that would be a better solution.
