Good guitar shops in New York

Hey!

I'm going to New York next month, and my parents say i can buy a guitar there.


What's a good guitar shop in the area? What shop did Edge buy his Explorer in?

There are a few guitar stores right off of times square. I forget the exact street but they are in the mid 40's (like 44th or 45th), one block east of broadway. if you see the mcdonald's, right down the block.

Sam Ash is located on 48th right off of Broadway.
There are also a few other guitar shops on that block.

In the Village there's Matt Umanov Guitars on Bleeker Street. I haven't bought a guitar there- just picks and music- but they seem to have a lot of electrics and some nice acoustics, a lot of Gibsons
