I'm working on my Edge tone and I'm curious...

Does he run his amps clean or with a little crunch? Or maybe, with all the amps he has, some are run clean and other with a little crunch and he uses an amp switcher?

I've have an AC30 CCX2, and I also run a single channel, retubed, Crate Vintage club 20 head through an Epiphone Valve Jr cabinet that is dedicated for shimmer. I'm wondering if I should run both clean, or the Crate clean and the Vox Top Boost alway on.

I have a Ground Control pro and GCX switcher, so I wish there was a way to switch between the Vox's Top Boost and Normal channels with pedals.

Sorry if this has been asked before. I did a search, but didn't find an answer.

Thanks,
Chris

My understanding is that he runs them clean, but all out. At max, those things break up pretty well on their own, even on the clean channel.

From what I remember reading... Edge runs them clean to the point of almost breaking up. Runs the effects volumes hotter. So the volume and crunch is coming more from the effects and not the amps ran at 11 or anything.
