Check the above video link. You will see a black Gibson Explorer about 4 seconds in. Perhaps this is what Edge got to replace the auctioned Explorer? Interested in what he's using it for and if he will play it on the tour.

Perhaps it's Lanois? Bono? But most likely The Edge's. Time will tell.

Could be anybody's I guess. I'd imagine that Edge probably owns 2 or 3 hundred guitars, like most super-rich guitar players, so who knows what he dusts off in the studio that never sees the light of day on a tour?

Actually, after seeing the bit about 1:45 in, it looks like it is the natural Explorer. Damn that Eno and his gels changing the light!

TIME HAS TOLD....

I did a bit of investigating.

The is a black Explorer. It was used on the NLOTH sessions. As seen in the picture below.

While seen in Daniel Lanois' hands in the picture above, I did some research. I got confirmation that the black Explorer is indeed owned by Mr. The Edge.

Not sure if we will see that or the Pelham Blue Gibson SG.

Probably not the blue Les Paul Standard, as he auctioned that one off at the 2008 Icons of Music Auction.

(Oh - how I'd have loved to have had the money to win the auction for that guitar!)

Yepper - HAD.

A 1981 Gibson Les Paul Standard. It was auctioned at the 2008 Icons of Music Auction in N.Y.

Per the auction notes, it was used on some of the NLOTH sessions.

It could be kinda like "A Day In the Life of the Edge" only it would be "A Day In the Life of the Edge's Guitars". Or at least something like that.
