From what I hear I think this guitar was a Les Paul. But I guess with Edge you can never know for sure. Maybe Edge_O asked him or Dallas about this sometime.

Guitar-wise: Les Paul Custom.
Amp-wise: I'd guess that the Randall RG 80-112 SC amp(s) were involved. This could be along with a Vox AC30. Edge used the Randall's for a lot of the 'crunch' tones on the ZOO and POPMART tours.
Effect-wise: Solo bit sounds like it could have the E-H Big Muff.

I think he may have also used the Clapton Strat w/snake and skeleton.
