Will NLOTH have a "Girl's" song?

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

Since Achtung Baby, every U2 album has what i call a girly song, or a light moment :
Achtung Baby : TTTYAATW (Great!)
Zooropa : Babyface (Meh)
Pop : The Playboy Mansion (Meh)
ALYCLB : In A little While (Great!) or Wild Honey (Hate it)
HTDAAB : AMAAW (I love it contrary to many people here) and maybe OOTS (Good too)

When i read the description we have so far of the tracks, i don't think there is gonna one on NLOTH... Maybe White as snow? Anyone agrees?

Maybe Fez-Being Born.

They've kind of always done it though.

Boy had The Ocean... October had October.. WAR had the Refugee, Unforgettable Fire had either 4th of July or Promenade, Joshua Tree had Trip Through Your Wires.

:hmm:

TTTYAATW (Girls song...ok fine)
Babyface (A song about falling in love with celebrities through the TV set.... Too creepy to be a light moment)
The Playboy Mansion (A song about replacing entering heaven with entering The Playboy Mansion.....not a light moment)
In a little while (A song about Bono's wife....ok fine)
A Man and a Woman (A song about Bono's wife....ok fine)

Crazy Tonight seems like the right song to end the night part of the album into the day (Get on your boots)

bizarre, i would go the other way, by saying the day part of the album would be the beginning... I see Boots more as a Night song

Well nobody knows yet. On beach clip 5 it sounds like he says tonight or goodnight at the end. I'll have to get the album for the clearer version.

I've always had "those" songs in their own category. There like the west coast songs of U2:

-Trip Through Your Wires
-Angel of Harlem
-TTYAATW
-Somedays
-Playboy Mansion
-In A Little While
-AMAAW

They just have some loose feel to them.

I have always loved Wild Honey. Not sure why people didn't seem to take to this song.

Wild Honey is a cool song. I remember reading Adam state that if we didn't put Wild Honey in there people would have jumped off the ledge already. Though the ATYCLB never gets back on track after it :(

Are you saying that these songs are "girly" because they sound girly or because they appeal to women?

If it's the latter option, then no way is "Playboy Mansion" the "for-the-ladies" song on Pop; I'd say it's "If You Wear that Velvet Dress," for sure!

Wow, Max, so are we lowly females allowed to listen to Bullet and SBS, or are they too rough for our delicate natures?

This thread is a massive FAIL.

I wouldn't say U2's music is extermely masculine...but they ain't as Coldplay
