I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight, I can't stop listening to it right now :drool:

But honestly the whole album just flows so brilliantly from one song to the next, I even like Boots a lot more now, hearing how it fits in the grand scheme of things!

I thought Magnificent was 1 of their best songs ever
and then the intro of Moment of Surrender gave me goosebumps that lasted for 7+ minutes

1. Crazy tonight
2. Magnificent
3. Unknown Caller
4. No Line on the Horizon
5. Moment of Surrender
6. FEZ- Being Born
------
7. Breathe
8. Stand up Comedy
9. Get on Your Boots
10. Cedars of Lebanon
11. White as Snow

Too bad the 2nd half so boring to me, but the first half is the best ever:heart:.

Magnificent, White As Snow, and Fez are all fucking astonishing. Figured I'd give WAS the love for this poll, but I really could've picked any of the three.

If people hadn't heard Boots already and the album was the first listen of it, I'm positive it would have at least 1 vote.

Still not getting the HUGE love for Magnificent. Maybe it's me, but I feel like it's a 2 minute song put on a loop 3 times. It's certainly not a bad song, but the best song in years like some of you are saying? I just don't get it.

Agreed, although I went with Magnificent. Fez-Being Born sounds like Alex Descends Into Hell's cousin. But more fit.

Moment of Surrender.

I think they've been trying to write this song for a long time and finally got it right. It's kind of....shocking, in a good way.

When I die....Moment of Surrender can be played at my funeral. Wow....just wow. That's the masterpiece of the album.

Oh Jesus, I have taken ages just sitting here looking at the poll, unable to pick one.
Magnificent. Not as poppy as I expected, but already growing like a knob on viagra

Unknown Caller. The immediate stand-out on first listen. So classic-U2

Breathe. In the spirit of Acrobat, Crumbs etc. But probably better than both. But again, it's a grower.

WAS and COL. Wow, U2 are back being adventurous, and blatantly fucking awesome

MOS. Perhaps not a tune that will change the world, but a complete parcel of U2 heart, emotion and pain. And musical goodness. Fuck it. I'm choosing MOS

Sorry to ramble..

In a few days (or hours ) we need to make a proper point/rank scale to see where we are with ALL the songs. This way Boots gets some love.

Something like 10 points for #1
8 points for #2 and #3
6 points for #4-6
4 points for #7-10
2 points for #11

MoS at the moment. I love those slower, more atmospheric songs.

There is no denying that U2 craft the most incredible ballad-type songs. I like them, but I don't really go out of my way playing them when it comes to my U2 collection. That said, MOS is just beyond incredible. Yes, God walked in the room when they made that one. No doubt, because my first listen (with earphones), God came pouring out into my ears and put wings on my heart so it could fly out of my body. I'm not sure if my body can ever get its heart back now.

The song I keep coming back to the most is Unknown Caller. Probably something to do with chorus harmonies and the beautiful intro.
