Smile and NLOTH

Is it just me or would a finished version of Smile fit pretty well on the second half of this album. Maybe it's the brass in it but the song is certainly cut from the same sonic cloth as this album and I would have loved Eno and Lanois to take a run with it.

Smile is the only song from the HTDAAB sessions that I never liked... So I don't think it fits anywhere....

I don't think it would fit on NLOTH. I actually think it would have fit well on ATYCLB.

I love that song.

I think that's what I'm getting at. I was messing around with playlists and tags in itunes and somehow this managed to end up in NLOTH and to be honest I thought it fitted in pretty well.

I like the song, but I don't see it fitting into NLOTH at all.

Funny you should say that, because the post-chorus part of Crazy Tonight reminds me enormously of Smile. Particularly when bono says "slowly now", it feels as though they are about to segue it with "I started, lighthearted, etc...".
