Good evening friends and visitors alike...I will be stopping by from time to time to perform psychic readings should you have any questions, comments...or even cries of outrage regarding the new album. Here I am back from the wilds of Indonesia!

oh wise and wonderful the slow loris, is it true that you're wonderous and fantastic mating calls are going to be in some way involved in the new U2 album? :reject:

Oh, this old thing? Not on this record. Definitely not.

The Sun The Moon The Stars

Piano intro verses:

When we pushed ourselves over
When we swam further down under
And ran on through that oh so slippery way
It was the sun, the moon, the stars that melted away
The fire in the night that pulled our dreams away
Into the orange and the gold
Against an open sea, an open sea
Into your arms, not needing to breathe
And waves now come crashing in
Bringing me back under your skin
It was through liquid shards
And the sun the moon, the Stars...

Chorus:

And she finds her way just as you look away
You walk on by in the shadow she kept for you
Behind the candle she lit for you
In the ocean she pulled for you
And she slips away...
It was the sun, the moon, the stars...
Her eyes, the skylight in my afternoon
Her hands, the hourglass of this moment
She shall not pass, shall not pass
It was the sun, the moon, the stars
Never to fall through
No, she shall not pass

Verse:

And so she goes as the eyes of the world are closed
As the kings in high places lose control
The Earth becoming the friend betrayed
A pearl in a sea, never to fade, never to fade
Below these skies, a world still breathing
A firefly at dusk keeps singing...oh,
hmmmyeah...[scat singing in falsetto]

Chorus:

And she finds her way just as you look away
You walk on by in the shadow
(she kept for you)
In the candle
(she lit it for you)
In the ocean
(she pulled it for you)
And she slips away
It was the sun, the moon the stars...[scat singing]
The skylight in my afternoon
Her hands, the hourglass of this moment
She shall not pass, shall not pass
For it was the sun, the moon, the stars...

Reprise:

Never to fall through
Never to die out
Never to fall out
Never to drop out
Never to cry out
Never to burn out
Never to fade out
Never to pass on through
No, for this shall not pass...

Outro Verses:

And sometimes I fall away against the night
Under the crack that lets through the light
Pushed inside, it's only of you
Yeah, it's candlelight
Through the window, explosions seep in
And the lights in the sky turn dim
Beyond silence I hear your cry
Yeah, beyond it all, the buzz and firefly
And so I fall away into arms
Beyond the sun, the moon and the stars...

Crud. oh well. Any other gems of information from the future then about the lyrical or sonic direction of this bad boy?

You should be suprised by some of the rhythmic manipulation, percussion and bass effects, I suspect. Very fluid, organically electronic, melodic. Pastel guitar lines that shine very brightly.

This is a daring revelation given the leaked clips on u2.com show all these things.

Can I make a prediction? This album will involve Bono.

Behold! The Slow Loris hath returned! Kaloo Kalay, oh frabjous day!

Oh wise Slow Loris - I thought "No Line On the Horizon" was a really nifty title for a song. Will it be on the album?

Slow Loris, good to see you again. :)

in your opinion, what is the best song on the new album and why?

The Slow Loris rocks! ...even it is slow. Nice to see you back.

I'm curious if this album will have a non-single with the spiritual power of the likes of Bad, Gone and Kite that turns into a monster in the live show. This is my kind of U2.

good call! cult classic U2 is the best, IMO.

SL, are you the one who posted the 'rehearsals' videos on youtube?
if yes...would you tell us more about that bear on the 1st one?

just to make things clear and stop worrying about that Lillywhite dude....there's not so much glockenspiel on the album? is there?

is the album not pitched to fast to enable 1983like vocals? will the B use a tricky-echo mic for the tour to 'sing like a bird'?

thank you very much:D
