Just seen a picture of edge.....christ they are enjoying their downtime!

Adam just said they have a song on the Sing 2 soundtrack, not that it was acoustic. He never said if it was a brand new song though.

It was a bit depressing to hear him say that they don’t really feel motivated to focus on an album until they can tour it properly.

I know,didn't commit to anything about new music. Why waste time re-recording old material if it won't be released?

That 's my feeling too. But that doesn't mean they can't release things to keep the fans happy. There's so much on their shelves....But....they won't... History learns not to be too optimistic, sadly...
