New Album Discussion: Worthwhile, Informative, And Not Even Slightly Grating

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
It's going to be a looooong year and a half before the next time U2LP13 gets delayed...

Maybe someone's saving all the kittehs in da world!

The worst part about this comic is that while she made it in 2004, it could be applied to anything U2's done since, say, 1999. :tsk:
Though you might have to change "kitties" to "spiders" to explain the most recent delay.

2012? 2013?

...maybe this belongs in that predict a U2 album release thread but since POP they are basically adding an extra sneaky year off doing not U2 stuff to each release scheduling...

1997 + 3 = 2000
2000 + 4 = 2004
2004 + 5 = 2009
2009 + 6 = 2015

If true, I shudder to think what this board will be like by 2014.

I see you stole my idea from the other thread:

My calculations since '97 have been add a year to the time in between the last release. For example:

Between Pop & ATYCLB was 3 years, so HTDAAB came out 4 years later
Since the time between ATYCLB & HTDAAB was 4 years, the time to wait for NLOTH was 5 years.
Guessing the next album will be 6 years after NLOTH, putting it in 2015. Book it.

You guys are being ridiculous. Also, NLOTH was less than 4 months over 4 year after HTDAAB, that's a bit of a stretch to call it 5 simply because the year on the calendar changed.
