I'm going to wait to see what form Invisible takes on the release (i, typically, want more Edge) and also the extras..and then I will re-listen with all that other context and re-rank. I still expect my original "top 5" to figure very highly, though.

 agreed on all points

I like Invisible better than every song on SOI. and I really like every song on the album. I will cry if Invisible isn't played every night of the tour.

I'm experimenting with Invisible in other spots now. Actually trying it after Iris.

I usually put Invisible 3rd. I move California to 1. Then ebw, invisible, the miracle, etc.

Damn I’ve tried…I just can’t rank these songs. Every time I try to move one up I don’t want to move another one down. Haven’t had this much trouble ranking songs on a U2 record since AB.

The only thing I can say for sure right now is Iris at #1 and SLABT at #11.

1-Every Breaking Wave
2-Sleep Like a Baby Tonight
3-The Troubles
4-The Miracle
5-Volcano
6-This Is Where You Can Reach Me Now
7-Song for Someone
8-California
9-Iris

OK. Never mind. Doesn't fit after Iris.

Even though I don't think it's the best crafted song on the album, California (no end to love) is the one I've played the most because it's just so joyful...it would make the strongest single on the album, a top down, drive in the sun track.

1. California
2. Iris
3. The Troubles
4. Song for Someone
5. Every Breaking Wave
6. This is where you can reach me now
7. Sleep like a baby tonight
8. The miracle
9. Volcano
10. Cedar wood Road
11. Raised by Wolves

Such a good album though, streets ahead of NLOTH for consistency.

Okay I finally made mine. :hmm:

1 - California (There is No End to Love) *****

2 - Volcano ****
3 - Every Breaking Wave ****

4 - This is Where You Can Reach Me Now ***+
5 - Sleep Like A Baby Tonight ***+
6 - Song For Someone ***+

7 - Cedarwood Road ***
8 - The Troubles ***
9 - The Miracle (Of Joey Ramone) ***

10 - Iris (Hold me Close) **

11 - Raised By Wolves*

I had a hard time ranking everything between 1 and 11 so I tried giving them stars 1-5 as I listened to each one again a couple more times. 2-10 did some real moving around, but for now I think I'm right about here.

Some of these were harder to rank than others because it is such a well put together album, but for every good song there has to be the ones that don't sit well with the rest.

1. This Is Where You Can Reach Me Now
2. Volcano
3. Cedarwood Rd.
4. The Troubles
5. Sleep Like A Baby
6. Every Breaking Wave
7. Song For Someone
8. Iris (Hold Me Close)
9. The Miracle (Of Joey Ramone)
10. Raised By Wolves
11. California (There is No End to Love)

1. The Troubles
2. Invisible
3. Iris
4. EBW
5. Cedarwood Road
6. Sleep Like A Baby Tonight
7. This Is Where You Can Reach Me
8. The Miracle
9. Song for Someone
10. California
11. Volcano
12. Raised By Wolves

List 2:
1. Invisible
2. California
3. Song For Someone
4. The Miracle
5. The Troubles
6. Iris
7. Every Breaking Wave
8. This Is Where You Can Reach Me
9. Sleep Like A Baby Tonight
10. Cedarwood Road
11. Volcano
12. Raised By Wolves

While The Miracle, California, and Song For Someone have made huge leaps for me. Couple songs have slid a bit. My top 4 are solid. 4-7 and 8-11 are flexible. I'm still not getting anything from Raised By Wolves. Sorry. I know a lot of people like it, I'm just not digging it. I think it's the only song on here I really don't like very much. That chorus kills me, it's just too cheesy. It's still better than half of No Line, though.

8) Cedarwood Road
9) Song For Someone

If including Invisible, I'd put it between EBW and Wolves.

Apologies. Cederwood was meant to be before Reach me

It's taken me a while before I feel like I can weigh in, though I'm sure some songs will shift a bit. This is pretty close though. Cedarwood Road and This is where you can reach me now are pretty close

I see that some love them, but the bottom three I really don't care for much at all. Not too crazy about EBW either

You've always been a big fan of Invisible (as I am but I wouldn't out it 1st..top 5 easy and maybe top 3). I'm curious what you (we) think of the album cut, assuming its the full version, which I have to believe it is.

As good as a song as it is, imagine a slightly extended opening, extra two verses, slightly extended ending and.....drums! I mean....Larry drums....real pounding deep sounding drums! Song might be epic.......we'll see.
