Magnificent sounded just that on the radio!

FM 96 in London just played White As Snow... right before she played, the dj said "and here's the new SINGLE from U2" After the song though she just said it was on the disc, no mention of it being a single. I'm sure she misspoke. Not a bad song but would be the worst second single IMO

Is this normal? Do local stations usually do this with albums (play the entire record) or do they stick with only the official single? Just trying to put it in context to understand if this means anything above and beyond business as usual.

Now DF's playing UC, and he just played a clip of an interview he had with Bono in 1979!

Y'all should tune in to him on Radio 1 RTE if you want to hear songs from the album. I think he'll be playing a bunch.

On album release day usually anticipated albums are played heavily on Edge 102.1 over here. In fact, thats how I knew the new Coldplay album came out, they were playing every track off the album just as I was pulling into Best Buy (for another reason). Picked up VLV on my way out. Its a great way to promote the album.

My local radio station 92 ZEW will play a new album on occasion.
They are playing NLOTH on the 5 oclock road block and then a song every hour - all weekend long..

They are streaming it on line, as well: 92WZEW.

me too - the only stations that seem to be playing u2 stuff here at the moment are dragging out all the really old stuff . . . I've heard, sbs, nyd, pride, one and streets . . .no GOYB yet

*disclaimer . . . I am a fan of all the old stuff, but frustrated that in light of a new album coming out they don't seem to have the courtesy to give the new single a whirl*
