I like the jokes that involve the other actors, and when the hosts put themselves in the audience like that. If he didn't feel comfortable doing it, she would have found someone else.
But yeah, I'd guess the back rub bit was planned, and then she just kept it going when she won, which might have been a surprise bit.
But Bono always be kissing the ladies, so I don't think anyone needs to be concerned about Ali. Heh.
