is that a new rickenbock? or is it just re-finished? The one in the Vertigo pics are a solid cream colour and the picture dated before Vertigo are starburst.

You mean the ones in the pics that you can only see the back of them?....Good question :)
I'm looking athe the small pic and only get to see the details when they are posted because they are larger..Im sure some one will clear it up for us ;)

Hey that's awesome! guitars are awesome. i'm no expert but i think i can help you impress someone by knowing that this one is an Epiphone Casino Hollow-Body. preeeeetty!

edit: foot in mouth!
it might actually be an Elitist Sheraton not a Casino. like i said,"no expert" :S

but it is without doubt an Epiphone and a hollow body

It is a casino :)

He has a '66 rickenbacker 330-12 maple and a '67 rickenbacker 330-12 fireglo, has had them for a long time.

Maybe everything you say IS an expert statement, haha.

hey, sorry about over reacting upon my return to interference.

Not much, I got a file from the experts here with a few of Edge's guitars written down. Also got an edition of Guitar Player magazine with Edge in it, in which he talks about a few, and the Rattle and hum Moviebook, has all the instruments and equipment the boys used for it. So combined that gives quite a bit of info.

 And I'm just a guitar nerd.

they pretty much look the same though don't they? iv'e got that issue i think. is that the one that came with the cd rom with the videos of The Edge's rig and pedals? The one with a whole lot of Dallas Schoo! i lost the cd rom though :(

Well they do, except on one thing... the Elitist Sheraton doesn't have an obvious bridge at the bottom of the guitar, which the casino does have.. and the guitar he's using doesn't have on either.

It is an Epiphone Sheraton. Not sure if it's an Elitist, those are newer. It's more than likely a vintage Sheraton from the mid-1960's.

Edge has a few Rickenbackers. During Vertigo tour, he used a "Fireglo" for "Sometimes You Can't Make It..." and a "Mapleglo finish" (natural wood looking) for "Mysterious Ways". (Both are mid-1960's 330 models)

The Fireglo used on the last tour was not the one from the Elevation tour or before. That one was destroyed when Hanover Quay was flooded in 2002 whilst U2 were in New Orleans playing the Super Bowl halftime show.

The band lost a lot of gear. Hence, last tour Adam had a lot of bass guitars we'd not seen. Hence Edge began using the Casino instead of the Gibson ES330TD... Notice it was just after the flood/Super Bowl appearance that they gave up fighting to keep Hanover Quay.

Ah, I wasn't sure which guitars were destroyed by the flood.

Did Adam only start using lakland basses from the vertigo tour onwards?
