oh God... i had heard this song before of course, but today i heard it again, and kept playing it over and over and over. it's so incredibly beautiful and sad... such a sense of longing and loss, sacrifice. i dont know if im just reading way too much meaning into it, but i really think its some of bono's best work.
the mystery is, who is it about/for????? rumor has it that its for some girl bono had an affair with, but rumors sometimes say its a fan and sometimes say its a girl back in high school. anyone know for sure?
anyway... the last part, the 'dont u turn around, dont look back' made me CRY. it really did. the whole song brings all these emotions out of me. poor bono. what inspired him to write such a sad, yet beautiful song??
