Hi.
Any chance this is true about the song Tomorrow:

The song is actually about the funeral of Bono's maternal grandfather, in April 1974. The "black cars" and Bono's calls to his mother (who died the same day !!) are the major nuances here.

oh my gosh- i had never known that- i just listened to it thinking about that and holy cow that song is SOOOO sad!
 
I definately think that "Tommorrow" is about that time in his life bc he lost his grandfather and mother in the same year. Tommorrow also happens to be one of my favorite songs :yes:

Tomorrow is one of my top U2 songs - if not the top one. It is so full of emotion and knowing that it is real makes it all the more meaningful. Bono is such a great songwriter in that he can elicit such sadness while still being hopeful, and that's what I love about Tomorrow.
