Well, "How are you" makes more sense then "Where is it" doesn't it?

Imagine the "cómo está" version:
Hello, hello!
- Hello!
I'm at a place called Vertigo!
- How are you?
It's everything I wish I didn't know!

And now the "donde esta":
Hello, hello!
- Hello!
I'm at a place called Vertigo!
- Where?
WTF? :eyebrow: I just told you, are you deaf?

it is referred to the place called vertigo, "where is it" makes sense.

Anyway, it's good to have many interpretations, that's why the world is beautiful, because it's various.

Sorry, but I think That
How are you?
It's everything I wish I didn't know
Makes much less sense then
Where are you?
It's everything Iwish I didn't know

Perhaps he's defining vertigo for him
In other words where Edge isn't literally asking where...but more ofthe incredulous what/where the heck is that....people use the word where like tha tall the time...
anwya IMO

It looks that it has been a lot of confusion here... :crack:

The official thing is:

-Hello, hello
-Hola!
-I'm at a place called Vertigo
-Donde esta?

"Hola!" is "Hello!" in english.

It's "Donde esta?" because it means "Where is it?". So once Bono says "I'm at a place called Vertigo" Edge asks where is it (yes, where is it, because Bono is only saying the name of the place).

But as WalkOn21 says, sometimes even U2 (and Bono, specially) pronounces wrong, and this is the clue:

-Unos, dos, tres, catorce!

...........Wrong!!! wrong wrong wrong! .................

It's "Uno, dos, tres, catorce" (WITHOUT the "s" after "uno").

Well, all I can say is that you can trust me, the spanish is my birth language.

OKAY OKAY! don't worry! I'm here now!

TWO UNDISPUTED FACTS THAT ARE NOT UP FOR NEGOTIATION:

1. It is DONDE ESTA.
2. WalkOn21 is a moron who makes an ass of himself in most threads he sets foot in and has a ridiculously hard time letting things go when he's quite obviously in the wrong.

carry on.

Well, if you're all that certain about it, I'm just going to leave this thread, OK?

You should have really taken your own advice here.

Yikes. This thread is full of personal attacks and unnecessary rudeness, so instead of handing out warnings for posts I'm just closing it, as it seems to be the same argument over and over anyway.

Can we all please try to be a bit more tolerant of differences in opinion and interpretation in this forum.
