What about analyzing Acrobat?

That song is fantastic and I am always confused when I listen to the lyrics. It seems to me that the line "Don't let the bastards bring you down" sort of refers to the media and how the media and the press can totally destroy an individual or a group or a company's reputation by releasing like a scandal or something of that sort.

But I don't know. What do you guys think about the lyrics of the song?

Acrobat :applaud:

I'm short on time at the moment, but overall the song is Bono punching back at critics, particularly in the media, for knocking him for not living up to, or not being sincere about his own socially conscious and idealistic views. Regardless of the backlash (which came hard after Rattle & Hum), he's going to keep the faith.

"Don't let the bastards grind you down" is a great line, but it's not his.

VP, just came back after being away for a while. I was in Best Buy and was going to get Zooropa but they did not have it. They had all other U2 albums but not that one. But thanks for remembering me. I'll get it soon but I hate going shopping and I don't own an Ipod (I'm showing my age. :D)

I love Acrobat and will post on it but not today.
