I've never been overly convinced about what's become the accepted transcript of Mysterious Ways on the Popmart video.
It's this improvised section at the end which makes no sense at all. (as transcribed on u2wanderer.org, and reproduced plenty elsewhere)
Ah, shut your moaning
Come on shut you going
Come on jack jamoly
Come on...
Admittedly that's what it sounds like, but even by Bono's usual low standards of comprehensibility, it makes no sense at all.
After listening to the boot hundreds of times, I'm just about 100% certain, that "Come on shut you going" is actually "Come on Sexy Girl" which is much more logical.
Jack Jamoly could also be "Checked ya money" though I'm not sure. , and 'shut your moaning' doesn't really sit well either.
Anyone else got any ideas?
