Does anyone else make up their own lyrics to U2 songs?

I have a couple of U2 songs that when I sing along with them in the car, shower, whatever, I have made up some of my own lyrics for them. Does anyone else do this?

An example is with New Year?s Day, there is a instrumental section towards the end of the song that I felt should of had some vocals to go with it. It?s right before the last stanza where Bono wails ?I will be with you tonight!?. In fact Bono does some vocals in the section I?m thinking of but no lyrics - just

oh-oh, oh-oh, o - o - o - o
oh-oh, oh-oh, o - o - o - o

My made up lyrics that fit in with the theme of the song of lovers being separated and longing to again be with one another and they go like this

I know, I know, you want me-e there.
U know, U know, I want you here.

and then goes into the ?I will be with you again? line.

I also do it something like it with ?With or With-Out You?.
Does this make any sense? or am I the only nut out there that does this?

The only baggage you can bring
Is all that you can't leave behind

I do that all the time. "Stuck in a Moment" is rife with possibilities.
