Another Time, Another Place translation

Has anyone ever been able to translate what Bono is singing towards the end of the song? It sounds like German, but I've heard people say it's Gaelic.


This would be a great song to add to the setlist for the next tour.

Oh, there's the old quarrel coming up again, if I get to much into the this thread.

It is bonglese. I can't be German since I am German and I heard so many live versions which never made any sense. Sometimes it sounds like fragments of German, but it could be any language. Some say it is Gaelic. But I doubt that.
