I just got this book a few days ago and have been sucked into it. 500+ pages so far and 1000 or so to go. lol. For "classic" literature, I guess I have been pleasantly suprised to find that it's an amazingly good read. Not difficult to follow or irrelevant to the world in which I live. Anyways, I'm becoming a fan of Tolstoy.

Next, I shall pick up Anna Karenina.

ah thanks
I've been looking for some classic literature to read which won't cause my brain to implode in the process of reading it

Anna Karenina is my favourite classic next to Far From The Madding Crowd (Thomas Hardy). Amazingly insightful character sketches and developments; many are surprised at how well he wrote a woman's psyche. I couldn't put the book down.
