I recently wrote a 12 page research paper for my Survey of Rock 'n' Roll music class on U2 and how they've evolved over the times.

I used this book as my primary source. It's a compilation of news articles from each year as well as some minor comentary from Bordowitz in each section. Essentially, it was the perfect source for me as it served for a great critical analysis, and had several opinions from each era as opposed to what we think of those times now.

It's a great read, especially for those young U2 fans such as myself who werent alive during the 1980s. I suggest this book for anyone though, it'll put you in the times, in the moments, as though you get to re-live them.
