Would someone happen to know how to add fade ins and outs at the beginning and ending of cds? Example, if i'm buring audio from a dvd I extracted the audio from, how do I add the fade ins and outs?

I use Audacity, it's a free program...CoolEdit is another good one, but it's not free :( Sorry I don't have a link for Audacity but if you google it you'll find it. Anyway, you load the track you want to fade in/out and highlight the last 10 or so seconds of it, and click to add fade. It makes more sense if you've got the program open in front of you, but it's really not hard. You can also normalize or add some effects, do a bit of mastering if you want...I find dvd-rips are often kind of quiet and need to be normalized. Good luck.
