Was just thinking back to the Christmas video at the end of 2016, and the promises made. "New album next year, some special shows", etc. We got the Joshua Tree Tour with FULL BAND performances of the entire album, in order.

The new album was finished, released, and is good, all in 2017, as promised.

They've also been promoting the tour AND SOE with TV appearances, busking, interviews.

Quite an eventful year for a 40 year old band, and what with health scares, etc.

Pretty cool, that they delivered what they promised, and maybe a little more, from that little video at Christmas of last year!

It's certainly been their most productive year since 1993.

To think we got a record in 2014 a tour in 2015 . 2016 off then a tour and a record in 2017

So In 3 years we've had 2 records and 2 tours. It's been a great time to be a fan

You wonder if Bono's health scare made him feel like "Guys, we gotta get stuff done, tomorrow's not guaranteed"!!:hmm:

That and there is no point in even talking to Trump about his RED, Africa initiatives so he hasnt had as many political meetings.

This has been a great year for u2 and is fans. I might like the whole of the album as opposed to some but man whatta great year... Looking so forward to next year.
