People are speculating, based on a few hints and tips in interviews and what not, that there will be an album released in time for the North American leg of the tour this year, which begins in May. People are also speculating that this will be the album that was produced by Danger Mouse, an album that Bono mentioned months back. Danger Mouse's friend and collaborator, Cee Lo Green, recently stated that the project is being "wrapped up." There was also a quote from Paul McGuinness sometime last year about an album before the NA shows get underway.

So this all adds up to something that seems pretty promising. Although, the clock is ticking. It's nearly mid-January already, so if there is really an album due in May, we should be hearing much more concrete things very soon. Within a few weeks, probably.
