Weirdest place you've heard a U2 song?

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

Not so much weird but unexpected. I was at an Edmonton Oilers game the other night and apparently they play Numb every game just before the team comes out onto the ice. Cool.

Also on Christmas day the family was playing Trivial Pursuit and we had the Christmas music station on. U2's version of Christmas(baby Please Come Home) came on and as it was playing I grabbed a card outta the deck to ask a question and it was a U2 question. In fact all 6 questions on the card were U2 related. So U2 came on the "radio", the card was all U2 questions and the hardcore U2 fan in the room was the one who picked the card. Weird.

I died and went to Heaven and over the loud speakers God was playing "I Threw A Brick Through A Window." That was very weird. I said "God, you're a fan of October?" And he said "Not particularly, but I like Larry's drumming on this one."

I ended up getting drunk and trying to force myself on Marilyn Monroe and Rita Hayworth so God sent me back down to Earth to play with the mortals.

I just remembered a few years ago I was at a dermatologists office once, and the doctor came in to the exam room (first time I'd ever met or seen him) and he had a boom box and turned it on during the appointment and it was U2. That was weird.

I was at a Portugese restaurant in Jo-burg, South Africa and the restaurant had Best of 1980-1990 on repeat. It was so surreal hearing them there, but it was a nice treat. :)

It was in the dunes on a hot summer day. We (my girlfriend in that time and I) were making love after a romantic picknick and the sounds of a ghettoblaster from some distance away arrived by the wind and very loud we heard Mysterious ways.

I was at the 24 Premiere event in NYC on Thursday. Before they screened the episode they had a slideshow playing of various cast pictures and Get on Your Boots justice remix was played during that as well as other songs too. Still, was weird. Fun night though getting to walk the red carpet and all

Heard Mysterious Ways at the casino Friday night. Broke even, so it wasn't too bad of a night.

They played Magnificent as the background to an interview with Mark Sanchez before the game last weekend. Odd in the context, but he certainly is magnificent looking so I guess it fits.

I was doing a remodel of a JCPenney's in New Orleans a few years ago, and we worked at night (while the store was closed). They played HTDAAB over and over and over and over... That job lasted a couple of months and believe me, it was a very welcome relief from the average jobsite music - redneck rock or redneck country...

HOT!!!:applaud: I love that album and have been listening lately. Good album but unfortunately a lot of people here disagree.:shame:

I heard Moment of Surrender at 3 AM in ihop once. It was weird cause that's where everyone on my college campus goes to eat after getting drunk.

End of an "Alias" episode, where Sydney, Jack, and mommie Derevko join forces and, side by side, they shoot down the bad guys in the snow... cue "Walk On."

I heard a U2 song once when I was sat at a poker table with Michelle Obama, Glenn Beck, Dalton, Natalie Portman, and the ghost of Frank Sinatra.

Not really a weird place. Last night I was at Buffalo Wild Wings and the opening notes of Magnificent came on. Then it stopped, as if somebody hit NEXT on the cd player, and then a fucking Jack Johnson song came on, which they let play. My friends and I were pissed.

I once heard Love Is Blindness in the background during sitcom. Pretty weird choice for a song because it wasn't really a sad moment.

It's not weird to hear a U2 song being played as part of a highlight reel or intro package for a feature on an athlete, but NBC just used the intro to Do You Feel Loved for Robert Luongo's feature/highlight package since he's starting in goalie for canada tonight.

that's the first time I've ever heard this song on any type of public airwave...radio, TV etc.
