Not sure where to put this; there doesn't seem to be a forum for general tour stuff, just specific to 360 and Vertigo...? So trying here, but if this is the wrong place, please move.

Is there a list out there of all the U2 shows over the years that have been broadcast on radio? And if not, can anyone add to my list? I know it's short. I'm building a live show collection, but I want to target shows that were on the radio, presumably they'd be of decent quality.

Joshua Tree - Glasgow
Joshua Tree - Lovetown - Dublin
Zoo TV - Zoo Europa - Dublin
ATYCLB Promo Tour - NYC (Irving Plaza)
NLOTH Promo Tour - Somerville
360 - Montreal
360 - Sheffield
360 - Pasadena (Rose Bowl)

Any additional info most appreciated, thanks!

Popmart from leeds was broadcast on bbc radio 1

There was also one of the vertigo south american shows that was on radio there. Was it the chile show?

Here are some early ones:

1978 BBC Live Broadcast
1981-10-14 BBC Radio
1981-11-14 Boston FM broadcast

360 live from wembley was on bbc radio 2

Twickenham on the vertigo tour was also live on bbc radio 2

Early shows - National Stadium, Dublin
Boy Tour - New York Ritz, Boston Paradise
October Tour, Roskilde, Werchter
War Tour - Hammermsith, Boston, Red Rocks, Loreley, Werchter
Live Aid
Joshua Tree - Glasgow was not broadcast on radio
There are radio quality broadcasts of all the Dublin Lovetown shows, but only the NYE show was broadcast
Popmart Leeds was broadcast on French Radio, the bootleg was called 'Le Cock Up' as I believe it was meant to be the Parc De Princes, Paris show, it was not broadcast on Radio 1
South Bend - Elevation was a webcast, I don' think it was a radio broadcast
The mentioned ones from Vertigo and 360

There are others, these are just off the top of my head:)

As for collecting 'just radio', you probably need to look at radio/mx desk/tv recordings as the sources are probably a bit mixed(ie. San Francisco Boy Tour, Gateshead 82, The Wolfgang recordings from JT). I'm pretty sure you can search on u2start just for the 'type' of recording you are after

1978 BBC Live Broadcast

This is not accurate; it is mistitled and comes from other sources. There are a couple of Irish TV broadcasts and demo sessions from 1978, but U2 did not appear on the BBC that year. They did not perform in the UK (not even Northern Ireland) until 1979.

I think the earliest radio broadcast of a full show would be the 1979-10-05 Cork show? Though to split hairs I think that might've been for TV. Oddly, no footage has emerged, or at least I never located any back when I traded bootlegs a decade ago. I'm sure many things have been uncovered in the intervening years, and if there is now telly footage of the Cork show I'd love to see it.

That Leeds bootleg concert is amazing. That version of Miami totally changed my perception of the song. It really rocked the house live, I'd love to see it played next tour.

I just listened to that Leeds version for the first time in a while. That shit was powerful. BTBS was vicious right after. Made me miss it and want to see it again. Edge was truly on fire.

Wasnt the "le cock up" title for the bootleg of the opening night in vegas.?Im sure the cd ive got at home has that as the title.

I have the popmart leeds show on my ipod at home,im sure it was from radio 1 i could be wrong though.

I wish there was a good bootleg from Vertigo Chicago 2005 from September 20 (not same time as the dvd). The encore was Discotheque, The Fly and WOWY. Then 2nd encore was ABOY, The First Time, and closed with Bad. They also played Yahweh in between Sometimes You Can't...and Love and Peace. Gosh, that sounds like an amazing concert to go to.

Yeah, that show is one of the shows for which I would like a soundboard bootleg.
