Does anyone have a U2 themed tattoo, whether you quoted a lyric or whatever is fine. I'm looking for some inspiration for my second tattoo. I love words, especially lyrics, so I'm thinking I'm going to do a short quote and some kind of picture representing it. Pics would be awesome, but descriptions are okay too.

Some threads to look through if you want.

I have the heart/suitcase deal on my lower back.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to get the Vertigo-Peace-Bomb logo eventually (the one that was one the Vertigo tour t-shirts) or even the Achtung Baby logos (Zoo Baby, Star and Trabant). Possibly even a combination of all of them.

If your looking for lyrics, I'd suggest Joshua Tree or All That You Can't Leave Behind as starting points as both of those have some really deep meanings their lyrics. Lyrics are tough since what one person might find important or meaningful, might not be for another.

Other Ideas:
- Joshua Tree
- Bulls Eye with U2 logo
- Zoo Baby
- Heart in a Suitcase
- Equal Sign
- ZooTV meltdown messages
- POP Logo
- Vertigo Logo
- Flying Heart (eg. If God Will Send His Angels cover)
- Lemon
- Coexist Logo

Hope some of these inspire you!

If you don't like those, you could always get Kat Von D to do a portrait of the band $10,000 later. ;)

I looked at the lyrics and I didn't really get the connection. I immediately thought of 'Walk On' actually before 'Elevation'.

Sorry I meant ATYCLB themed. Was thinking of the Elevation tour, etc.

Glad I found this thread as I've been thinking of getting a U2 tattoo, which would be my first tattoo. I'm thinking of getting the Joshua Tree - I'm deliberating between my wrist and ankle but someone said the wrist would hurt because the skin is sensitive.
Anyone know if this is true?

I really want to get a white ink U2 themed tattoo on my wrist in the near future. I've read that some artists don't like to use white ink.. but they are really cool looking when done correctly.

^ Isn't he the guy with the One, but we're not the same and various other tats on his back?

I have 2, soon to be 3 because I have to finish off my back... probably a skyline of Chicago with a lyric from 'The Hands that Built America', but I can't decide which one!

Wow, your tats are gorgeous! I don't want to be a total stalker by doing a complete U2 themed tattoo. I just want something subtle, like yours. Not everyone would know what they're about, unless you pay attention to U2 like us hardcore fans do.

as someone who's got tattoos on their wrists and ankles, i can say the wrist hurts a lot less! :yikes:

Sicy, I like your back tattoo! It's nicely proportioned too with the side bits.

I'm thinking of doing a tattoo somehow of the chandelier from the big hall(famous Studio 2) at Hansa Studios. They're also featured in the One video of course. Maybe it's too alien spaceship like:|

Styled like the one below in this recent photo.

I've been wanting a U2 lyric tattooed on my wrist for years, but I could never decide on which one. Lately i've been thinking about getting "Justify till we die, you and I will magnify, the magnificent"...
