So would you go straight back to work on the day you just underwent surgery?

Not saying Bono should follow the same example but...
This music video shot against medical advisement, under painkillers effects and already under recovery period, because a new album was already finished, already had a scheduled release date and the first single was already ready to come out.

I'm a little bit bummed out that they won't get to be on with Benedict Cumberbatch.

I firmly believe this is more of Guy O's judo publicity and Bono is resting comfortably in the Exumas this week. By not appearing they get more attention than if they had appeared, so when they do appear, it will be like two weeks of U2. The present absence is actually the absent presence.

Bono shouldn't do anything that he's really not up to doing but depending on the nature of the surgery and injury it's not inconceivable that he could be ok enough by Friday to make a brief appearance on Fallon.

Jimmy Fallon and The Roots with an amazing performance of Desire to close out the show! Very cool.

Even with the last minute consideration aside, that was pretty darn good.

Perhaps "Not U2" will have a week-long residency now?

Seems like they have a cook lined up for tomorrow's show, but I wouldn't mind seeing an encore later in the week myself.

Definitely. And it would've been best for all if Madonna hadn't done that either. :yikes:

Is it wrong that I find Not U2's Desire more exciting, interesting, and convincing than any of the performances U2 has done on the promo tour?

Amazing things happen when you plug in your instruments!

It's more interesting than any version of Desire they did since 1993.
