He wasn't the only one, it was one of about 10 songs the "hopefuls" could choose from to sing at audition, a few of them tried. It made me feel dirty

ah cmon! If he sang it like Bono, he'd get blasted for being a copycat. For who he is/his vocal style, he did ok. He picked a poor choice of song to sing condensed because the chorus and emotion in WOWY needs to be built up to.

Plus it got the song into the top 50 on itunes, which means it's higher in itunes than the last two singles reached. U2 need someone to perform their next single on the x factor
