Quincy Jones: U2 is Over the Hill

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

Quincy Jones is a legendary music producer, but he’s been embarrassing himself for a while now with some of his interviews. He’s going senile in his old age.

Quincy Jones?

Isn't he the same guy that threatened "people will pay for this" after U2 beat out Michael Jackson for the Album Of The Year Grammy back in
87?

I suspect he is not really in the rock camp as far as music. Pop and R&B are more his taste.

Quincy Jones personally called Eddie Van Halen to play the solo on Michael Jackson's hit song "Beat It." He may not be producing a Metallica album any time in the future but the man knows more about every genre of music than probably the combined total subscribers of Interference.

That's true. He probably didn't want to be the one to drop the inevitable bombshells about those people.

I think he also was able to distinguish between giving out good 'dish' and you know.. legal stuff that gets you phone calls and visits to your home.

And Eddie was dumb enough to not get paid for it and assumed Roth wouldn't know about it cause he just played on "this kid's record", not realizing how huge it would be
