One guy sang With or without you on Finlands Idol show just last week and I was a little apprehensive to say the least, but was pleasently surprised! 
Of course this version didn't match up to U2s mind blowing original, but I thought he did quite a decent job for someone performing infront of a live audience for the first time in his life! 
A brave choice which could have gone seriously wrong, but instead I ended up voting for him to stay in the competion and I guess a few other Finns agreed coz he's through to the next round!

He actually starts singing the song around 0:57 if you want to skip the Finnish intro!

If you bothered to read my post, I made it quite clear that I didn't think that this performance was in any way better than any U2 performance live or otherwise! I was comparing it to the other performances of U2 songs being performed on these Idols shows mentioned in this thread!!
