Noel Gallagher to support u2 on their next tour?

According to the sun newspaper today Noel has agreed with Bono to support U2 on their next tour.

With Noel supporting the RHCP at croke park the other week and Bono being there maybe something was said then

Noel loves u2 aswell so there may be truth in it

I saw noel a while back and he was fantastic so hopefully its true!

Mr. Gallagher & co will be playing with Snow Patrol (I'm assuming he's the opener, considering more people in the US know of Snow Patrol than a Gallagher) in the fall.

I'd love to see Snow Patrol again. IMO, they were one of the best U2 support acts and I've recentyl been to their show and loved it. Most other U2 support acts were boring the hell out of me. Some of them may sound good on record, but IMO they sucked life and/or just didn't fit in a stadium environment. I don't care much for Noel or Oasis, but I'm quite sure they wouldn't be the worst support act since they are quite popular and have some great tunes.

I hope Snow Patrol, Elbow and Kaiser Chiefs stick with U2. I really hope Noel won't support, can't stand the Gallagher brothers' attitudes.
