Favorite Bono Guitar Parts

The friendliest place on the web for anyone that follows U2.

Pretty cool moment, even if a bit "off" the original riff...and gotta love the way they're showing that old video of them in the desert on the screens again. Love it.

This seemed weaker in print at U2 tours.com.

That's a sweet intro for Streets.

edit: when did they start using those little bits of guitar at 1:17, before the opening riff starts ? I don't remember those on pre- Elevation tours.

Bono has guitar solos?

Yeah, the intro to streets is usually his 'thing'. Check out Brussels 2, Rain / Streets. That's Bono playing. Also Amazing Grace is him too, and now MOTD. Plus the little intro solo bit in One he did since the 2010 leg..

:hmm: Did Edge give him guitar lessons or something?

I hate giving shit to Bono about his guitar playing. People laughed at George Harrison for years but look what happened to him, best Beatles solo album with All Things Must Pass...albiet lead guitar was mainly done by Eric Clapton. Nevertheless Bono has his moments. Hawkmoon 269 is a great example of his great driving guitar part. This however is pretty shit:
