The Edge is probably doing everyone a big favour.
That mountain is probably a very dormant (sleepy) volcano. SO... instead of
waiting for it to erupt, he is slicing off the top of the mountain a little bit and plugging the lava hole with his house.
Like a cork on a wine bottle.

Yes, the Edge is a smart guy, but in this escapade, perhaps not so smart. Maybe I'm adding 2 to 2 and coming up with 5 - but I'm starting to become a bit concerned.

The property developer has absconded to Switzerland - that much is fact.

Friends of mine have lost money due to investing with the same property developer - that is also fact.

I hope Edge didn't invest a lot of money with this guy - this bit is speculative.
